Hello November!!

Hello, Hello!

I can't believe that it's already November. It has been absolutely GORGEOUS out. There were a few days/nights in early October that were so dang cold that I was starting to get bummed because I thought the seasons would skip and we'd have an early winter. Which is completely normal for Massachusetts. However, I'm pleased to say I was wrong!

The colors have been AMAZEBALLS!! I've always loved FALL/Autumn. All of the holidays, smells, colors, crafts...  This year, though, I'm enjoying this Season even more. Since I've started taking photography classes, I see everything differently. Before, I would take pictures of everything we did, printed them and tried like crazy to scrap them. Now, I take photographs of moments I happen to catch and realize, someday, I'm really going to be happy I caught this.

I've learned that photography is not just pictures of events. They're Captured Moments of TIME. Time is precious, there's never enough and when it's gone, you don't get it back. Photographs, are a way to cherish those moments longer.

The KEY to Photography is LIGHT. Wether it be bright or dark... it's LIGHT. Now that I've been trained to see it, I see it everywhere! Suddenly, everything looks different, and I feel different about it.

I am a MULTI-Multitasker. ;0) But lately I catch myself actually slowing down and taking everything in.  All of the stuff that drove me nuts, because there was never enough time, dosen't seem to matter as much anymore. I'm noticing all of the Little Things alot more. Guess what?! The "little things", are actually pretty HUGE!!

The way it sounds when my daughters are laughing in their bedroom.. sometimes it could make me nuts.. haha if it was going on for a while, and I was rushing to get stuff done. Now, I stop what I'm doing and just listen and giggle to myself. It reminds me of my own giggle fits with my sister. Time passes too quickly to be so stressed all the time and I know, someday I'll wish I'd listened to my daughters's Giggle Fits alot more..

The way the November morning sun glistens off of their hair while they're walkng to the car and I can see all of their pretty highlights.. the crackling sounds the leaves make under their feet and the smell of wood burning coming from someone's chimney. These are the memories I want to remember when I look back at my photos. If your're rushing, taking pics just to take them, thinking about every chore that's waiting on you and not paying attention to what's actually going on, yes.. you'll have loads of pictures and maybe they'll be pretty and maybe everyone matches and maybe you can remember ages. Unless you're in the moment, and enjoying all of the blessings happening right in your face, all you'll have is pretty pictures.

SLOW down, breathe, enjoy your blessings and see everything in a new light. When sunrise comes, make it a point to stop somewhere and watch the way the light bounces off of everything.

Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy this weather!!

                                            Jen :0)
